Dartmouth Academy School
The school has a large 21meter corridor: 5 classes rooms, toilets, the hall and offices are all off this central point. Originally this was a boring white dull space…
The school is at the top of Dartmouth a coastal town where the river meets the sea. We decided that this would be a lovely theme for the mural, in both a fun and educational avenue.
I painted everything from seals to fisherman, plants to frogs, otters to tents and everything in between. Including lots of animal river POO! I wanted the kids to have all sorts of things to look at, count and discover every time they walked down the corridor.
This was a joy to paint, hearing the comments from the kids and the zillions of questions they would ask me each day.
